GROUPER Grouper are our most sought after species and are excellent table fare. Averaging from 8 to 12 pounds, grouper are very hard fighting fish. They are fierce when hooked and retreat to their rocky homes when hooked. Best baits are sardines, fresh cut bait and live Pin Fish. They are caught year-round, but they prefer water temperature of 60 to 80 degrees. |
